The company currently consists of myself, Lizette Hagelquist, the company owner, and freelance accountant who will be fully responsible for the quality of services provided.
I have strong management background and Entrepreneur driven with a Master degree in auditing from the Copenhagen Business School.
Over the past 20 years, I have gained a lot of experience working in various roles and functions of corporate finance and management. This included financial advice, management, and accounting at companies such as Nykredit Denmark and KMPG. I have had the privilege to oversee the growth and expansion, first as the CFO and later as temporary director, of Jane Kønig jewelry company. This involved engagement in process optimization, overall management, strategic decision-making, and board membership. I worked as Finance Manager in the IT company NET-Solutions and most recently as Finance Manager in the Service Company Hoist Group, part of a larger Swedish group providing service solutions for hotels.
In addition to above mentioned experience, I have benefited from gaining financial experience from managing my own company. In the year 2019, I started my husband’s owned business in Australia, where we sold WHEAT children’s clothing as an agency run from Denmark. We decided to close the business due to family obligations, but it nevertheless gave me the invaluable experience with e-commerce, marketing / development of website, back end as well as insights into processes of opening and managing a business in a foreign country.
My many years of experience and diverse roles have given me a solid understanding of the importance of the organization in the company and its interaction with the companies’ financial result. In all my previous jobs, I have always gained a quick understanding of the company and therefore could contribute with sparring and results after a very short time.
I have started my own consulting business because I am passionate about making a difference. I have strong financial background and motivation to be a contributor to improving company results with a more strategic perspective. I find that when companies want a better bottom line, it is not always the right thing to cut costs. Many times, funds must be released from finance to be able to carry out the strategic decisions. Process optimization and lack of controls can also contribute to losing revenue or paying too much. And where companies are growing, there may be a particular risk of losing track of the company’s processes and organization. A good financial understanding benefits the strategic decisions, and the interaction is important to achieve goals. As a consultant, I can help in several of the aforementioned areas, as well as focus on exactly what I am passionate about.
Even smaller bookkeeping tasks can be exciting as these often provide a great knowledge of business and thus contribute to not only sitting in an administrative role but can also use this insight to help be the company’s trusted partner.
